What You'll Do
Earlier this year, noma closed its doors at the harborside warehouse it had called home for over 14 years. Now, René Redzepi is ready to open noma again. Reservations for the new restaurant sold out in less than 24 hours, and there are over 35,000 people on the waiting list. But we’ve got the last opening-night table for two with your name on it. In an evolution of the restaurant’s guiding principle of “Time and Place,” René Redzepi and his team will divide the year into three seasons, changing the menu drastically to match the type of ingredients that are at their peak at any given time of year. You and a friend will be among the first people in the world to dine at the new noma and experience its first menu during the winter season, which will be a celebration of Scandinavian seafood. But that’s not all—you’ll also return to noma the next morning for coffee with the team and an exclusive tour of its acclaimed fermentation lab and test kitchen, where you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the future of food. Velbekomme! (That’s bon appétit in Danish.) Flights and accommodation included.
No donation or payment is necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes.
Who You'll Help
MAD: (Danish for “food”) is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing together a global food community with an appetite for change. Food is inseparable from some of the most pressing global challenges of our time, and MAD’s focus is to help inspire, educate, and find creative solutions that make a real and sustainable difference in restaurants, communities, and the world at large. MAD is preparing the restaurant community as leaders in building a better, healthier, more sustainable, and more delicious future.
MAD began as a two-day Symposium in a red circus tent pitched in Copenhagen’s harbor. Since then, MAD has grown into to include local and international events, free online education resources, and publications.
MAD has always brought people together from across the food world to have unlikely conversations that spark new and innovative ideas and action. Today, the restaurant community wants to play a role in shaping a better food future and accelerating our transition toward a more sustainable world.
If you share our appetite for change and believe that food has a role to play in preserving the health of our planet, MAD is an organization for you to support. Funds raised during this campaign will enable MAD to be more active and create more positive impact.
