what you'll do
Christian Louboutin’s iconic red soled shoes are internationally recognized as a symbol of glamour and confidence. And now, he’s partnered with Nordstrom to benefit the Museum at FIT… and give YOU the chance to win a one-of-a-kind pair of shoes and a trip to New York City to meet the designer himself! Inspired by the style featured in The Museum at FIT’s exhibit “Paris: Capital of Fashion,” your new black satin mules envelope the foot in an oversized bow and are luxuriously hand-embellished with delicate clear crystal accents. Gorgeous! But that’s not all. You’ll also get flown out to NYC, hit up an exclusive Nordstrom event, meet Christian himself for a celebratory toast and score a $1,500 Nordstrom gift card to complete your look. Flights and hotel for you and a guest are included.
No donation or payment is necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes.
who you'll help
The Fashion Institute of Technology Foundation’s mission is to help every student with the ability, drive and desire to succeed in the creative industries, and ensure that no talented student is denied the benefits of a FIT education due to financial hardship. Your contribution to this experience will benefit the Museum at FIT, one of a select group of specialized fashion museums that works to create exhibitions, programs and publications that are entertaining and educational, and advance knowledge of fashion. Founded in 1969, the Museum was installed in the current building in 1974, and exhibitions began to be presented in 1975. Dr. Valerie Steele has been director of The Museum at FIT since 2003 and chief curator since 1997.

Transparency:
At Omaze, we believe fundraising should be about impact, not percentages. Our model allows us, in partnership with Charities Aid Foundation America (we call them CAFA), to really make a difference and disrupt the way society traditionally thinks about charitable giving.
Here’s how it works: Omaze and CAFA work together to offer incredible prizes and experiences that anyone can potentially win. You don’t have to donate to enter, but if you do, your donation to CAFA is then used to make a charitable grant to a great cause, which we love. Omaze pays for everything that’s needed to run the sweepstakes, which means the only ones taking a chance are the entrants (you!)—not the charity. The nonprofit can spend less time worrying about raising funds, and instead focus their energy on doing awesome work.
*This means that for the typical campaign, from every dollar you donate, 60 cents is passed directly through to CAFA, all of which is then used by CAFA to make a grant to the associated charity. If there are multiple charities, then grants of equal share are made to each charity. Of the remaining 40 cents, 25 cents is typically used to pay for things like advertising, payment processing and the costs of making the campaign a success—including providing the prize. Then the last 15 cents goes to Omaze and is used to cover the cost of providing and maintaining the technology and team that makes this all happen.
The result? Causes get a guaranteed grant with no risk and no overhead or investment, our lucky winners get awesome prizes, and everyone else gets to help a great cause and spread joy!
