The ACLU Foundation of Southern California
About the cause
The ACLU Foundation of Southern California (ACLU SoCal) works to defend the civil liberties of all people as enshrined in the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. For nearly 100 years, through litigation, policy advocacy, media advocacy and organizing, the ACLU SoCal has fought to secure and protect the civil rights of all people—namely women, youth, people of color, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and nonbinary people, immigrants and refugees, members of minority religions, people with disabilities, people experiencing poverty or who are unhoused, and people who are incarcerated. This experience raises funds for Charities Aid Foundation America (“CAF America”), a US-registered, 501(c)(3) public charity. 100% of donations for this experience go to CAF America, who will then grant the donations, minus the experience fees and costs, to the ACLU Foundation of Southern California (the “Designated Grantee”). For more info on how much will go to the Designated Grantee, the expected timeframe in which the Designated Grantee will receive the grants, and the rare circumstances in which CAF America may reassign funds to a similar grantee, see the “Fundraising Transparency” section at the bottom of each experience page.
