The Midnight Mission
About the cause
Founded in 1914, The Midnight Mission works to help homeless individuals in Los Angeles, offering a path to self-sufficiency to men, women and children who have lost direction. Their emergency services and 12-step recovery, family living, job training, education and workforce development programs offer a compassionate bridge to achieve and maintain healthy, productive lives. They remove obstacles and provide the accountability and structure that people who are experiencing homelessness need to be productive in their communities. One example we love? They provide a permanent mailing address for those in need, which is crucial to them finding a job and staying in touch with loved ones. Midnight Mission does all this and more (like serving three meals a day, seven days a week!) with empathy and respect.
